Natyanjali Australia

In the last decade, the growth of Indian Classical Dancing in Australia has been phenomenal! This growth has been made possible mainly due to two factors – the truly wonderful teachers we have here in Australia and parents who sacrifice so much of their personal time in introducing their children to fine arts and actively nurturing this interest. Of course, the role of the young students in this growth cannot be undermined!

Despite this huge growth, there is still further scope for Indian Classical Dancing in Australia to mature. To ensure ongoing growth, it becomes vital to create support mechanisms and an environment, which will enable young Australians to move past the superficial and become more involved in the technical and the creative aspects of this fine art. It is with this intention that we have incorporated Natyanjali Australia.

Natyanjali Australia is a not-for-profit organisation incorporated in Sydney, NSW with the primary objective of promoting Indian Classical and Folk Dancing in Australia. We seek to support, promote and nurture the local talent in Australia and offer young students a forum to develop their interests. This will be done through ongoing programs comprising of performances by well-known overseas artistes, workshops and lecture demonstrations. We also hope to provide a platform for young dancers to showcase their creative endeavours.

We sincerely hope that these activities will augur well for the growth of Indian Classical Dancing in Australia and play a role in passing these rich traditions to the next generation.

We are passionate about our cause and request all of you to join us on this creative journey.

We now invite you to support our endeavours by sponsoring us.
